Selenite is a calcium sulfate mineral that is the crystallized transparent variety of Gypsum. It was first discovered in 1747 by J.G. Wallerius. Some of the most abundant deposits of Selenite come from Morocco, Australia, Madagascar, Mexico, Brazil, and the United States. 

The name Selenite comes from the Greek moon Goddess, Selene and means "moonlike glow." With a very high vibration, Selenite induces clarity of mind and accesses elevated consciousness.
