Orthoceras Fossils

Orthoceras (meaning “straight horn”) are extinct marine cephalopods that lived over 400 million years ago during the Devonian period. These fascinating fossils are the preserved remains of ancient squid-like creatures that once roamed the warm, shallow seas of the Paleozoic era.
